Probably because there wouldn't be much difference between a Road Glide Limited with black option and a CVO. I feel like I got a CVO for $10K less. Power locks, proximity key, meh. Sure, 3 extra cubes and a better stereo. Stereo can be had for $2K which would beat a stock CVO stereo, so I'm still 8K ahead. Don't care about the 3 cubes. But I've got heated grips, RDRS, TMPS, the powder coat finish on the wheels is excellent.
I agree and believe there isn't going to a cvo rg this model year
I heard the same thing the other day... Everyone will be surprised on some of the new things the CVO RG will come with!! Not saying much, but maybe they took some good advice from the reviews of the new Indian Challenger!!! Electric Windshield, oops... Saying too much now... LOL... And I DEFINITELY did not get my information on FB!!!!
I think Harley is definitely scared by The Challenger. Am I the only one that noticed as soon as the Challenger was released Harley started advertising the “new” bikes coming soon! Again! I also think the whole lower fairing on the CVO Road Glide was a design cue to see how it went over for a future liquid cooled lower radiator. Time will tell. I will definitely be pissed if a CVO Road Glide comes out! I sold two bikes this fall anticipating a CVO Road Glide! Instead I picked up a Low Rider S and have it torn apart awaiting a 128” kit.
I was at my dealer doing some shopping yesterday and heard this rumor too. The guy in charge of the sales department told me. CVO Road Glide and soft tail standard are coming mid year, the soft tail standard is going to be cheaper than a street bob. He also said theres 2 limited edition Street Glide and Road Glide paint schemes coming but he didnt see what they looked like or what they are, they just were shown with a cover over them.
I've been predicting a softail standard for a few years now...although my rendition called for a springer front-end, I guy can hope right? I guess you can't have it all but it's a good start to attract new and younger riders to the brand.
