Sounds like a loss of prime pressure. Try cycling the ignition on and off (with kill switch in run position) 3 or 4 times BEFORE trying to start it for the first time or after it has sat for extended period.
Let us know if that changes it.
Could be something loose or out of position seals in the fuel pump/regulator/filter system inside the tank. A proper fuel pressure analysis would verify or rule out these issues before opening the tank.

I traded my 55k 2010 FLHTC for a 2019 FLHX in March. I put 10k on it over the summer and traded for a 2020 FLHR in October. This bike is a keeper... I think.
I've got a problem where in 45+ degree weather, it starts fine. In 40 degree weather, it starts and "wants" to die. In 30 degree weather (I ride year round) it'll actually fire up and dies.
I bought the bike (as well as the previous FLHX) in Dallas but live in NW OK. I asked the dealer in OKC at my 1k about the issue and they were clueless. I sent a text to the original dealer in Dallas and didn't get much of an answer.
Anyone have similar issues??? I can't find any helpful threads online. If I'm missing one, please point me in the right direction.
Make sure that the dealer has got the latest calibration in the ECM. There were problems with the software that came in the first builds of the 2020's. They have gone through 3 updates so far.
Saw a post of yours from a few yrs back. Wanted to know if you still had the hardware for the V2H Fairing? I haven't been on the forum in years, but I researched and found you posted awhile back.
Sold that fairing setup to a forum member last week.
For those still interested in the original topic, still haven't had my bike to the dealer. -and it's definitely still dying on cold start up, problem hasn't fixed itself.
Will update when I've gotten it to the dealer. Hopefully I can get that done before winter is over.
Were you ever able to figure out the problem? My recently purchased 17 street glide has been doing the exact same thing. Dealer said it sounded like a pin hole in the fuel line. Seems like if I prime it twice I dont have any issues with it stalling on start up.

Pin hole in the fuel line? Find a new dealer....
If it works after priming it twice it's either a bad fuel pump or a leaky injector.

I'm not even remotely close to being mechanically inclined, but makes sense. I called a different dealer just to see what they said. They also said it could be pin hole in a line in the tank or possibly either one of the things you said. Hopefully the post originator will reply as to what fixed his bike because mine is the exact same as his in the videos where it dies right after startup and then starts normal and stays on the second go.

A pin hole would make a more consistent starting issue regardless of temperature. It would also cause other drivability issues.
Automatic Compression Release is shorted. Had the same sound on my 2017 and replaced it. Take a flash like and look under the tank. Its two wires. You be surprise how easily the wires get frayed.
