Solve my noise

Sounds kind of like a car with a hole in the exhaust, has a slight smell like burning brake.
Started only on excel but, now is all the time. I've dun some google and can't find anything.

Loose header at the head, and your fiber gasket is what you are smelling.

Best I got with that lame description

The make and model of the car may help narrow it down.

Well, it does sound like about a half dollar size hole in the muffler of a 67 Fairlane.

darn, I had a 66 GT 390 4spd..so close to being able to help!

There have been cases of loose spark plugs and compression release solenoids. If you had an exhaust leak from there it would make some noise for sure.
