I did pay for an extended warranty when I bought the bike so I would assume that's what will cover it. Either way, it is my understanding that they still have to provide some warranty for any work they do regardless. And if work they perform causes any other problems, I can't see them having much of a case for denying a warranty claim, whether it's a HD warranty or the dealer warranty.
At any rate, that's getting away from the point of this thread. I will be making a call tomorrow to clarify a few things about the offered deal, but if I have some freedom of choice, which is the preferred S&S cam to go for?
Just be careful. While you may have a point about cause of warranty work, MOCO can and HAS voided warranties just for non compliant parts found on a bike. Extended warranty not withstanding. Maybe its different in AUS.
I’m quite happy with my SE Torque cam. Sure there are other options for more power, but I’m not racing my Uktra Limited. I just wanted more boost and extended torque curve, certainly accomplished that.
I believe the hd tuner does not have any maps for aftermarket cams, so basically your stuck with a hd cam. If you go with a s&s cam or other aftermarket cams you’ll need a different tuner, With the correct map for the cam/motor/bike. I don’t know all the rules/laws hd has in your area, but if it is close to the US, any dealer/mech the works on the bike Can accidentally plug the bike in and well you know the rest.
The HD tuner was never a consideration. Like my original post said, I have the TechnoResearch Maximus tuner already and this was purchased from the dealer when I bought the bike. There is another dealer much closer to me that also uses the Maximus so I might speak to them and see if they'd be up for a price match. Would save me a few hours in travel at least.

then the laws where you are differ from the US. Regardless of what cam you choose. In the states, you touch your ride with an aftermarket tuner your warranty is done, whether if it is an extended warranty or not.
personally I like MOCO parts. The engineers that designed the engine design the cams. Not to take anything away from aftermarket, it’s just my peace of mind. I have the Stage 2 torque cam and it is more than I will ever need

So I spoke to 2 different stores for the same dealer. The one I actually bought the bike from wasn't really helpful and basically just said the S&S options were pretty much the same as the SE torque or power cam options without giving any real specs. He also said the warranty shouldn't be an issue. The other store was pretty much just pushing the SE stuff but did say the S&S would void warranty. So I guess it'll be an SE torque cam for now then.

S&S will void your warranty, Unless they will give it to you in writing I wouldnt believe the dealer on honoring your warranty. S&S will give you FAR better performance. In a street bob Id run the 475 cam over the 465 since its so light. My 107 made 110hp at the tire with the 475 cam and D&D pipe. SE Id ok, but youll be much happier with the S&S cam.
