Default Thunderheader Slip Ons

Looking to see if anyone is running Thunderheader slip ons on their M8? I recently picked up a 2020 Road King Special and looking at adding either Thunderheader Slip Ons or some S&S Grand National. I'll be sticking with the 4 inch mufflers this time for the backpressure and clearance for the twisties. Thanks

Thanks for the video and reply. Most of the younger guys don't know the history of the Thunderheaders and they do sound great. Did you go with their heat shields or stick with stock? This will probably be a winter time swap since right now I've been on TLOW from GE Aviation for the past 6 weeks due to the COVID really knocking the aviation industry. Thanks

Yes great performance history with Thunderheaders, Just got the slipon mufflers with no heat shields. Still running the stock head pipe and heat shields with cat. Good flow and performance

I would also look at S&S GNX (different from Grand Nationals). I was going to buy a set but a friend of mind *gave* me a pair of Rineharts, so you can imagine which direction I went. But the performance numbers look good, and at least from the YouTube clips they sound pretty good too, and reasonably priced.

I'll stick with the 4 inch slip ons since I mentioned the M8's like the backpressure. I ran my MK 45's with the db killers and out and definitely could tell the difference on roll on acceleration. I may also look into the thundermonster baffles as well since I have quite a few friends back in NH and NY that use them and great numbers on the dyno.

I'm no expert but I assume the size of the muffler is not what you should be concerned with, it's the size of the baffle in the can.
