Wish you all luck at Sturgis this year. Putting tons of high risk people in a small area is not a good idea. Wear a mask if you go, dont be that person. Im an ER nurse and see it, and what it does to some, but people think its a political scam. Stay safe
Exactly. Been to Sturgis, but not during the rally. Went in June 2017, stayed in Hill City. Beautiful riding around there. Even in June, there was a fair amount of bikes, but nothing like when the rally is going on I'm sure. Not a fan of crowds, or lines. To each their own though.
My signature pic is one taken in Spearfish Canyon. There's a hidden area with bbq grills, picnic benches. That was our cigar room.

Well not sure where you get that data from. I bet as a percentage of the total that is attending... it's very very low.

city of sturgis. “Most attendees in recent years are professionals with too much to lose if they get arrested. The top three professions at Sturgis are doctors, lawyers and accountants, city officials have said in previous years.” Recent article in USA Today about this years attendance. Actually, S Dakota, sturgis and rapid city have been collecting rider demograhics for at least 10 years from credit card data, surveys, etc. for instance they say 55% are men primarily 45 to 60 years old, average household income of $75k+, 90% ride Harley’s and come from points west of Sturgis, lol. There is no hiding these days.

Wow lol. I have never been to Sturgis just surprised they have actual data on that. I'm not surprised about income just seeing all the expensive bikes there on tv! Crowds are not for me so I pass. I will go sometime outside of rally time for the riding though
