Default Stock Header

Getting ready to replace the header and pipes on my 2018 FLTRXSE and was wondering if I should bring the header home from the shop. Is there any market for a stock header, as in decatting it or whatever, and what would it be worth? I'm thinking just leave it there, no real market for it. Any advice appreciated!

I always store my take offs in case I want to restore the bike mostly to stock to sell/trade etc. Up to you.

I'd leave it Stock. It's inexpensive to decat, but once you do you cannot undo.

After getting screwed on my Vance and Hines 4" pipes when I went from the 103 to the M8, I keep my stock parts to avoid that issue. I am sure I could have sold my vance and hines for my 103 for a LOT more than I could have sold the stock slip ons. I have my stock M8 slip on's resting comfortably in my garage in case I ever trade her in.

Don't ever throw away your stock pipes in case the Govt decides to smog motorcycles you will need that stock header to pass smog. Hasn't happened yet but if the govt can make more money they will find a way.

Should always keep your stock parts in case you sell your bike you switch over then sell the add ons later for higher price. You don't get much more money with custom parts on your bike.

I kept mine for 20 years, thru them away when I sold the bike, waste of space!
my current bike I have discarded all the performance upgrade parts cause nobody will ever want to put them back on the bike.
I do still have, an aftermarket set of handlebars I "had" on it and an aftermarket windshield I "had" on it only because I paid extra for them

Maybe I will sell them some time, Maybe...
