Yeah sometimes we had to replace the entire machine. But the majority of customers were giving us money. And I’m sure all the ESP providers do the same. Some may have lower overheads, and cut their margins. But still, the majority of people that buy extended warranties come out behind. But, if it gives you piece of mind, or you couldn’t afford to cover an unexpected cost, then the ESP is for you.

I hope it doesn’t. But if my motor grenades tomorrow, yeah I wouldn’t like it. But, then I’d have the flexibility to put in something like a 130 ci crate motor.

Heck, maybe I’ll get in touch with some of my old employees, and start our own ESP company, since there are so many people willing to give away their money. But, the one advantage HD has is that they don’t reimburse the dealer at prevailing labor rates. Where’s a 3rd party ESP provider doesn’t.

" since so many people willing to give away their money"
Again 2 bikes with 2 motor failures and trans shaft seal.. cost me $150 in repairs instead of $13-$15k
I ride my bikes... ESP definitely worth it to me and for much more than piece of mind.

I have a friend that is not good with negotiating with those pond-scum dealers but bit into the extended warranty offered by Barnes in Victoria.
Her and her husband paid close to 3K8, for her 2016 Fatboy lo.
Her motor let go in late June. They said don’t expect to get it back this riding season. Still no bike for her. *ricks!
