Default Put myself in a pickle

So I have a 2018 lowrider fxlr 107 fully stock. I decided to upgrade to the new 2020 oil pump. So I found a fourm that changed just the oil pump without touching pushrods and all that jazz but when ever I did it the pushrods pushed the cam shaft down and can't put the cam plate back on. So now I decided to just replace the push rods with ss quickie pushrods,ss precision lifters,ss tappets and with a ss 475 cam. I know the bike wouldn't be at its full potential in power but will the bike run fine without a stage 1 components such as air cleaner, exhaust, and tuner. Or does the 475 cam take the ecm out of range to adjust for F/A ratios.

You definitely need a tune. And you “should” put in an open AC, better breathing slip ons.

So could I just get a tuner for now and later get pipes and air cleaner?

IDK, I've always done pipes, air cleaner and tuner right away when I get a new bike. I've added the cams or cam (M8) when I ready to dig it the old pocketbook and replace all you have above. I personally would never upgrade the cam without a new air cleaner and a new head pipe. The cam controls how much and when the motor gets air. It can't take in more air if it's not opened up. It'll probably run like sheet.

The 475c moves a lot of air you will definitely want to air cleaner and exhaust and tune

The head pipe is fine, change the a/c and slip ons definitely will need a tune

I did nearly the same as the original poster on my 17sgs. I had already had done from HD the torque cam with adjustable pushrods and I wanted to upgrade the oil pump in early 20, so I took it all apart as you did but I could not get the cam plate back on because the lifters bleed down the rods. I had to go through the full blown process of loosening the push rods and redoing everything. Hence why when I go to upgrade the cam in my 20RGL, I will do it myself because doing what I did and you did, I pulled the cam anyway. I did buy the cam bearing puller though since I would not of needed it on my 17. I think the only way you might be able to pull that just oil pump replacement off is if you pull the old one out and have the new one ready to slide back in like in 30 seconds maybe.
