I am the same with the oil level. I have been using this setup for a while. I’ll get water, but sometimes a milky solution, which is mostly water with some oil. $1.95 for a foot of hose, lol, and an old pill bottle.
I actually had one of these rust up and had to drill it out. It was literally completely blocked off. I thought I would clean them when I had the air cleaner off. I went to spray brake cleaner through the hole and got a face full instead. I drilled both of them out and all was good in the world.
Trask just came out with a oil tank vent, I believe Quick has been trying it out, so there may be some credence into the need for better venting. How much extra venting is anyone’s guess, but, in order to get the moisture out there has to be enough flow to get it through the breather bolts. I know that at idle, you can feel the air coming out of the pill bottle, not a lot but it is pumping out air.

yeah Ive talked to numerous builders and they say there is definitely benefits to venting this engine, especially if youve added cis over stock. Ive always liked the guys at Trask so when they came out with their vent cover I decided to give it a go, it is a very nice billet cover. Others have said they could drill and tap the stock cover and change the closed off stock gasket and put a one way valve, I guess they is true but for me, I dont mind paying for a product that guys spent a lot of time, effort and knowledge into manufacturing and testing so thats why i bought it from them.
