My tune has an name but when I save as it shows untitled.pvt, shouldn’t it save exactly as it reads from the PV?

It doesn't matter. Make it the same name if you want. The data inside the file is the same no matter what it's named.

Just send them the tune named untitled if you don't know how to rename it. That's all they need.

I can rename it no problem but what it saves to the desktop is just a bunch of unreadable symbols and $h!t

Are you trying to open the file and see what's inside it? Or you're saying, once saved, the filename is a bunch of unreadable symbols?

Didn't you say it saved fine when it was untitled.pvt? Just send them that. They will know what it is.

I'm starting to think you're ****ing with me. Either that or maybe have no business doing this stuff to your bike 😄

I’m gonna send that file and the data log files and I’m sure they will tell me if it’s right or wrong. And you are right, I don’t mess with this kind of stuff, that’s why I’m sending it to the pros! I am very mechanically inclined but this whole tuner business is Spanish to me.

You reminded me of the old joke about a computer help desk. After some back & forth between the help desk and the customer, the problem becomes apparent.... and it's really basic.

The help desk says, "Ah, I see.... Do you still have the box it came in?

Customer, "Yes I do..."

Help desk, "OK, box up the computer and send it back to the manufacturer..."

Customer, "What do I tell them is wrong?"

Help desk, "Tell them you're too stupid to own a computer...."

QUIK, not laughing at you, this computer tuning & tuner stuff has a steep learning curve and takes time to master.... CRISPY was right on the money with his advice & directions. He was also very patient with you...

But his last response tickled my funny bone... Yes, I have a sick sense of humor...

It's all good, you got it figured out. When you get a tune back from them, you're just going to do this in reverse. Save the tune from your email to your desktop, hit "Send Tune" in WinPV, name it whatever you want and that will load it onto your PV. Then take the PV and hook it up to the bike, flash the new tune.
