What are you shooting for? Do you want something reliable on the street or max hp for the track? I looked at Leading Edge's website and they are sold out of everything. If you're looking for a reason to come to AZ, have you considered Trask? A turbo or blower will give you the hp when you want it and be streetable. Trask does really nice work, also.

That’s what you are gonna spend? If so, damn! I’ve only got a 1/3 of that in my 128.

I think he means 15k miles, as in hoping that’s how long his motor will hold up 😎🤪

Great for you. Did you do the work yourself? What did you put into it, S and S or something else? I am going with a Darkhorse crankshaft and Carillo Rods and pistons. I am going after a happy medium of horsepower and reliability.

I think there are a lot of great builders out there but I went with the one who probably spent the most time testing and running many different combinations. Give Fuel Moto a call and tell them what you're hoping to achieve and they'll build a great power package for you. I'll say they also stand behind their work and have probably done more big bore builds than any other speed shop.

Fuel Moto 128 and then pick your poison as far as where you want to make the power. Their

kits have been very reliable. I’m running a 10.75 to 1 kit with a Wood WM8 22XE, Fuel Moto header Fullsac 2.25 baffles and a 64MM throttle body. Stock clutch and bottom end but upgraded Star Racing comp ramp and love the power delivery. Very high TQ down low but still pulls to redline. All my research lead me to keep stock bottom end. A higher compression 128 with heads and a bigger cam will give more HP but lose a little TQ down low.

With 300 miles on the odometer I trailered my 2021 FXLRS about 1,000 miles each way to Fuel Moto.Went with a 11.1 128 with heads, SE throttle body with ward manifold, wood 408 cam, s&s pump and plate, aim clutch plate, com ramp, jackpot riot exhaust. Dyno tuned with power vision. at 154hp/150tq it is an absolute rocket ship, but it is also very streetable and easy to ride every day. I can't see myself not doing it all over again if I get another bike.

Very, very close to my build with similar numbers. I'll bet that bike hauls *** with that build....

I'm not familiar with shops in your area, but if it were mine, I'd go with FuelMoto because I've had great experiences with them. And it's not uncommon to see them posting on the Forum and going the extra mile to help people. But I agree that Kevin Baxter has to be included in any discussion like this. He is very knowledgable and has a great shop.

I spent the better part of the month of February contacting no less than 10 builders that are common to forums like this one and also the various FB groups that I frequent. Living in South Florida, my distance requirement was simply any place I can trailer and drop off my bike within 12 hours from me. That meant Alabama, GA, North and South Carolina, and TN. Truth be told, if Fuel Moto was within this distance, it would be there, no questions. Their customer service might be the best I've ever experienced ever, and that goes a long way for me. But they are at least 2 days drive one way for me. I'll eventually post up how I ended up going with them, but I am taking my bike to Brooks Cycle Service in Garysburg, NC. Most of the parts have been ordered and I am just waiting for the call to bring my bike up.
