I did the HD torque cam, Open AC, SE street canons. After about 1,000 miles the street canons broke in, and IMHO sounded great. The big difference a bit more pull off the kind, but rather than a quick falloff like stick it kept pulling hard. And I got compliments on how it sounded. Not too loud, but nice rumble.
I will let you know if I notice a difference having my CAT taken out and a new tune SE Pro over to a Power vision. I am told there will be a noticeable reduction in felt heat.
As for the boost in power? Not sure but I want a new tuner now that warranty is bye bye.
Man if you are already going through that labor and retune expense now is the time to upgrade to something a lot better than the SE-447 cam. Just a drop in cam like the 30-30 or other will make for a very noticeable improvement.
I'm having the Stage II TORQUE cam installed in May with stock head pipe, Rinehart DBX45 slipons and dyno tuned with SEPT. Will post the dyno sheet when it's done.
Had the tune and decatted the head pipe. Pulls about the same but the sound is very nice now. Along with less felt heat, and the sound improvement I am happy I decatted the head pipe. Yes, I could have gone with a different after market cam but the SE-447 has been very good to me and I still get that "throw back in the seat" performance. Next area to modify/upgrade is the audio.
That explains the slightly higher torque peak on yours, I have M8 107. My bike was last year with 107 stock for Heritage, they had 114 as an option but I didn't want to wait or order special, so bought off the floor. Still very happy.
I have a 107, 2017 ultra classic. Dealer did STG 1 with SE Airbox / Filter and Khrome Werks 4.5" Slip ons. I added the Louvered Insert 202712P and swapped with original. Better sound (Low tones) and a little quieter. I also ran no insert for a week with same fuel map (Power Vision) tune from dealer. Louder but about same torque.
The Louvered gave it a bit more torque. Sound was more of an improvement than torque. Still stock head pipes and Cat. About 5000 miles. Stage 2: At 10,000 I went with Woods 22x , cam chest plate, Feuling HP+ oil pump, S&S Quickee Rods/tubes, and Rocker Stud kit (all by indy dealer). Original head pipes and cat stayed.
Seemed to run hot and Cat throws the heat. Two up on a 90 deg day made hills tough... downshifting more. I investigated map and found it was for a Target Tune setup, which I didn't have. Got a diff map from Fuel Moto support (thank you guys!) and had indy install that. Big Diff! Been running that 3500 miles, great tone, strong and steady pull from 2500 to 3700. Added DK air deflectors and short tank lift to help cool.
I wound up very happy with the results, did a trike conversion and it pulls great (MotorTrike). If I did it all again, I'd lose the cat because of heat and get new head pipes 18mm O2 bungs, for the tuners (PV, etc.). Stock pipes are 12mm (if someone now makes a wideband O2 in 12 mm, plz tell me).
