Default How to increase coverage

Hey guys,

I've put over $35k of aftermarket parts and labor into my bike. What is the best way to increase my coverage in case I get in an accident and want to get reimbursement of all the aftermarket parts and labor? I have Progressive right now, the bike is a 2017 Low Rider S, the Factory 2 year warranty coverage has expired, all the parts were professionally installed, I have all the receipts, and I live in California. Thanks for any help/insight.

Dave

Default Accessory Coverage

Sounds like your bike is really coming together!

Most carriers have a maximum Accessory Coverage of $30,000. Foremost will allow higher limits in their Custom Program; however, it gets expensive quick.

Make sure you work with your agent to properly insure your Accessories with Progressive--they have strict guidelines in California.
  • $3,000 Included with Comprehensive Coverage
  • Additional Coverage in $1,000 increments up to $30,000.
  • Deductible is the same as Comprehensive Coverage but only the applicable deductible applies.
  • Your file must include dated itemization of equipment for any value over $1,500.
  • A scheduled list of items and photographs must be retained in our file.

Make sure you get it in writing (detailed).
You may have to get it appraised and get a specialty policy.
