Motorcycle Insurance DiscussionThis is the place to discuss what type of Motorcycle Insurance you carry or any problems or good experiences you've had with certain companies.
I had the same question for my insurance company, Farmers. I do not have a motorcycle yet but I have rented. They would not cover a rental motorcycle on my auto policy. They would cover a motorhome though? If I had a motorcycle policy they then would cover a motorcycle rental........ Kinda stupid. Looked at my policy and it stated rental autos were covered in the Rental Vehicle section. Did not exclude Motorcycles but did not say it would cover them. So if in doubt, get it in writing on your policy.
Get your policy and check the "Definitions" section (usually the first section). Find the definition of "Your Covered Motorcycle" and that will let you know what is covered.
My policy will cover a loaner bike if mine is in the shop. It will not cover a regular rental.
