How much did the erson that you know sell his for?
There are a lot of deals out there right now. I payed $2000 for my 1987 FXLR last august and just picked up a 96 Softail for $3700. There are unfortunatley, a lot of people out there right now who are hurting. The 96 I got from a guy that got layed off, he worked for one of the supply companies for GM. He started out asking $4800 but I only had $3700 right on hand and he was desperate for the cash.
I did tell him if he got back on his feet in the next year or so I would sell it back to him for the same price. I have another 9 mos or so to finish my 87 project so I won't get started on this Softail till at least next spring.
