where to ride in Colorado?
I am fairly new to the forum - been riding HDs for 6 years. Just bought my 3rd HD of which I still have 2. I have gotten a ton of info from y'all but really havent typed much so I say hey to y'all - but i am looking for some info.
I am leaving Fort Worth in a month and heading for Durango, CO and just want to ride the Rockies. I got the map from America's Biways and it has some neat looking routes like the San Juan Skyway outta Durango, the Dinosaur Diamond Highway outta Grand Junction into Utah, and the Top of the Rockies outta Leadville. Never having been there, I dont know what is good and bad.
I am looking for great scenic/rural riding in the CO, northern NM, eastern Utah, southern WY areas if you have suggestions. Also I am looking for mountain roads but not the such that at 30 mph the bolts and my teeth are rattling out. Both me and my girl can ride from sun-up to sun-down (with rests every couple of hours of course), so please just throw some roads and locations. I wil be most appreciative.
