hey dock, it will be perfect riding temps in march. right now its been 70 in the day and 40's at night. tombstone is kinda far if your only going to be around for a short time. i highly recommend going out to canyon lake while your in mesa. its just east of apache junction on I-88/Idaho Rd, and its an awesome ride through the canyons. there are several dealers close by to rent bikes from. hope you have fun when your here! i came for a visit myself, and never went back!
Lots of dealers in the valley, but for Mesa specifically you're looking at Chester's and Superstition HD. Both have rentals. Definitely head up to Canyon Lake/Tortilla Flats. Tombstone isn't close, but it's south so you could ride there. It get's cold quickly as you head north into the mountains from Phoenix. Another great ride is Sedona just south of Flagstaff, but I haven't been up there since before Xmas so I'm not sure what the weather conditions are. If you go there be sure to skirt around the 101/I-17 intersection--lots of construction.
sitting in a hotel right now in Mesa out here for work . Had some free time yesterday went and checked out Chester's you also might want to consider going to the Barret Jackson auction definitely worth seeing.
