Colorado Riders
Just thought I'd post up about some local Indy's I've found. I'd like to hear your thoughts on local guys you trust too. It's always handy to have backups.
1) Maurer's Motors - http://denver.craigslist.org/cys/5602777122.html
I went to school with Chris, the owner. He worked for Rocky Mountain HD for a LONG time, as a mechanic, then sales, then chrome specialist and now he's opened his own shop. The guy is good, plain and simple. I brought him my bike at 7:30am today for a front fork rebuild, an a hell of an oil leak (transmission output shaft seal). He had it finished by 2:30pm today. He's also got a '91 FXR that he's doing a twin-cam swap into, so he does custom stuff too. Prices are fair. He's more of a practical guy though, none of that big-wheel bagger crap.
2) 2nd Chance Motorsport & Custom - https://www.facebook.com/2ndchancemo...ustom/?fref=ts
Jerry is the owner/mechanic (1 man operation). Full disclosure, he's the father of a cousin. He does FANTASTIC work, and he's a great tuner. The only hangup I have is that he's slow, but that comes from being a 1man operation.
3) Knuckleheads Garage - https://www.facebook.com/KnuckleheadsCO/?fref=ts
I've never been here personally, but my dad got his bike fixed here. Good folks, fair prices and quick turnaround.
Where do you guys go for your work (assuming you don't do it yourself)?
Anyway, I think I'll check it out if the afternoon/evening rains stay away. Ride safe.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Another ride I want to do is to look at the museum at Pike's Peak HD. That'll be 285, 126 to Deckers then to Woodland Park, to the Springs to PP (never been so I hope I don't get lost ahaha). The return will be 1-25 to Monument, then Perry Park/105 to Palmer Lake up to Sedalia. Perhaps Wednesday or Thursday.
Let me know.
