There was another post on this somewhere.........the gist of it is, the local rednecks want to get rid of the black biker rally and they're willing to get rid of the big rally as well, in order not to have the ordinance scream, "RACIST!!!!!!!!!".

The City Council cant cancel bikeweek. They dont own it or \\;promote it. And think about it, the rallies are "off season" how would they replace the revenue?

The city of Myrtle Beach only controls vendor permits in a few places, the biggest of which is the Convention Center which is about empty since Harley Davidson went to Hard Rock Park. Horry County controls the vast majority of vendor permits.
