Default State laws on cross country ride?

I live in TX, no blinkers required (and I do not have them). If I am on a road trip and go through a State that requires blinkers am I hosed? Or would it fall under "legal where I reside and bike is tagged"

Might sound silly. I know if I ride in a State that requires a hat, I must wear one, regardless of my State law.

But with all the different laws in different States, do you have to change blinkers/handle bar height/pipe noise level/passenger seat/pegs/ etc every time you cross a State line?

Thanks

State laws can require you to have things like blinkers and bars at legal heights and positions. They can fall back to the fact that the manufacture did put it on or in what position. That said, things like exhaust all under a federal law and anystate "could" cite you for a modified exhaust. All falls to what state enforces available laws. Also matters if you are drawing unneeded attention to yourself by driving bad.
