I am friends with Dribble and we party together at Glencoe. I remember meeting you and your wife. See you in August. We will be back. Sorry to hear about your friend.
Bump to top
Just booked Glencoe yesterday for this year, first time!
Any chance for a HDForum meet up?
Any tips...trailering in, plan on sleeping in the trailer or maybe a tent.
Hope to pull in early Friday morning, advice on where to park?
Mama say's she don't want to go....flying solo!
Shout out to Mowdoc and his beautiful wife who shared their hospitality with this first timer last year. The Road King is gone and the 2014 SGS is in the house. I am planning a second run in 2015 and you bet Glencoe is my destination. In my opinion Glencoe still resembles the Spirit of the early Stugis days with it's wild west lets see what you got titty ally shenanigans. Send pics this year, hehe.
Vikingfrt - Hey, Bruce, glad to hear from you!! Yep, I got plenty of pix from 13 and plans to take more in 14. I spent a lot of my time doing video last year and they came out nice. I don't share them but if you ever come to town, you can watch them. I take my pix and videos for my own use and have never posted anything. I respect the ladies far too much to plaster them all over the net.
kwoozn - if you have a bike trailer and a tent I would say you want to set-up between the creek and the Alley. Depending on which gate you enter, that will be south of the store area across the Alley and then work back to the west until you find a nice spot. That zone will be close to the breasts and action plus it will be flatter and have good shade.
heritageblue2013 - Not sure about you but I get lucky every day at Glencoe. Of course, I am a very lucky guy plus I cover my butt by bringing my own. I'm sure Vikingfrt, dribble and harleyhusker can vouch how lucky I am, , they have met my wife.
I would guess to say that there are a few people that swap/swing/share but as far as a guarantee, nope I won't say you will get laid at Glencoe, although it does seem very possible. I have seen some very lucky guys get attacked in the Alley resulting in terrific hand jobs and such but those occur at unscheduled times and are random acts of kindness.
Most of the sort of thing you ask about happens between people who have met, like each other and party by invitation away from the general population.
Glencoe is about as old school as I have found at the rally. People now have fancy RVs and toy vehicles to travel around in but the spirit of biker activity still lives on. That means if you happen to be in the right place at the right time then yes, it could happen for you. The potential is certainly there.
Hey Bruce, PM me with your email again. I have some pix you will remember.(wink)
We camp on the alley just south of the pavilion. We have a white canopy and a christmas three on top of a pole that is lighted. Please stop by and say hi and have a beer. We will be on the north side of the alley.
Just want to thank folks for the postings about Glencoe, have it booked for this year and my first time at Sturgis. Buddy and I are finally making it up there. Hope to maybe say hello and have a beer with you all.
