Got new Daymaker Fogs installed today
I have the daymakers on my 15 RGS and I love them. But the Road Glide's headlight still needs some help. So I bought a rigid off road light that I'm installing. Question is do the extra switches come with directions at all? I've looked all over the HD book for a part number. I have the one light switch but need the other two. If you have the part #'s it would be great to get them. Here's a bad shot of my dash, and lights. mine are with lowers, I hid the wires also, (Harley did), They used silicone instead of grommets. If I ever take it apart I'll drill it for grommets.
The ACC Switch button is 71400109
I should say, I'm assuming both models (mines an SG) would use the same switch buttons. I Would think they do, though they might not use the same housings
Those won't search on the HD site but they search elsewhere, like on Kutter, and the dealer has them, or should. They're in the parts catalog page 138-139 but that's for a batwing; I didn't see a diagram for a shark nose, but you can probably locate it here:

They come in a small plastic bag, no instructions, but the switch housing is easy to figure out. I can post a few pics and show you how to swap them, if you like. The assembly as a whole has instructions but I can't find them right this second. You can check the instruction sheets online too: here's the one for the harness, I couldn't locate the one for the switch assembly 69200172

Based on what you just said, you want the instructions in order to assign a particular button to activate your new off road light? Is that correct? If so, it's not as complicated as all that, if you plug an accessory harness to the accessory plug on your bike, and have a live button installed in the switch assembly, the ECM knows what to do. I tested mine before installing them, I was confused too as the accessory plug is what I use to connect my Tuner... So would the ECM know that? I was surprised and relieved that yes, it does. With my middle switch button installed, I plugged new harness in and connected the lights on the floor and pushed the switch, and boom, on they come.. Amazing.. Coming off all my older bikes, the computer controlled new bike is intimidating, but I'm learning. All I really had to do was hide the wires, that's the labor, but the activation of the lights was plug and play.
Only thing I can think of that you need to pay attention to is the amperage draw the new light is putting on the system; under 2 amps is a simple 2-wire deal, over that you need a 3-wire and relay, and the harness 71400105 comes with both. The 3rd switch I have on the right side of my assembly is for accessories drawing more than 2 amps; the middle one is for those with less than 2 amps, and in relation to the ECM, those positions are fixed and pre-wired that way at the factory. It's only the buttons that are blanks, the wiring is already there, though.
Hope that helps. I'm sorry if it's confusing. Lol

For ***** and giggles, here's an alternative way of doing the wiring through the engine guard.
Worked for me (drilling under the center tab) and it's hidden pretty well I guess.
Ah damn... That looks good! I considered that, I was worried about the heat; my big motor gets pretty hot, probably not hot enough, but it was on my mind..
I'm not a huge fan of the way my top of the bar exit location turned out, the more I look at it... I like yours better. I hid the deutsch connectors right behind the gas tank bolt rubber cover thingy, that was why I put it there, the connectors are grey and kind of stood out against the black... I maybe should have cut and soldered them and ran the wire with the big harness to the fairing, and ran the wire from the bars straight up to them as opposed to across the frame, which kind of dirties up the look. Oh well, I still need a black crash bar eventually! Lol
