Default Installed cams and bars this weekend

I installed woods 777's(plan on 107 build next year), Fuel Moto adjustable push rods, alpha lifters, power vision with Fuel Moto tune, and 12" factory 47's this past weekend. Install of the cams went fairly smooth. The push rods were a little tricky but once you figure out the first it ain't too bad. I would say it took probably 8 hrs or so (1st harley cam install). The power was really user friendly took maybe 5 minutes to set up. The bike fired right up surged for few seconds and leveled right out. I do have the throttle body clatter noise that I heard it might get, but I'll have to live with it. I road about 70 miles, bike ran smooth with just a little deceleration pop nothing too bad. I think it is going to start pulling really good around 3000rpm. The bars took maybe a couple hours pretty easy install. I used all factory lenth cables and wire as advertised.I like the feel but haven't got to ride with them yet. O yea I had your normal stage 1 kit on the bike already. stage 1 cleaner, rush HO 7017 2-1-2 with jackpot mufflers, and screaming eagle SERT tuner. I changed to power vision after the epa stuff, dealer said they would nit install my cams or even tune my bike with the SERT tuner anymore.

Yes I replaced the cam bearings, and I used the power vision w/ a map from fuel moto.

thanks I'm tired of paying for Dyno's. I can autotune on my SERT but not as good as Dyno how did the map work out with the power vision?

Well, I only have about 70 miles on the tune so far so consider that in my answer. In those 70 miles no surging or dead spots(from 1000 to 4000 rpms). The bike seems responsive and power is good. I do have a little decal pop, but I had a little of that from my stage one dyno tuned from the dealer. I think some of that comes from the competition baffles. I mean it is not as good as a really good tune when someone really spends time with the bike, but good luck getting that at a dealer.

I'm also running the Rush 7017 HO but see where you refer to it being a 2-1-2. I believe this pipe is a true dual and does not have a connecting chamber, therefore it's a 2-2. I definitely felt some low end loss after install which would seem to suggest that it is in fact true dual. At any rate, I installed a set of Thunder Torque Inserts from DK Customs and regained my low end.

Earlier this year I was about to pull the trigger on a Fuel Moto Road & Track 2-1 but when I went to their webpage their $699 special had gone up $100. Oh well, the Rush TD's w/ 2.5" baffles sound pretty awesome.

Congrats on the build...that thing is gonna rip when you do the 107!

I installed the Rush 7017 HO pipes and noticed there is a connecting chamber, I believe I read somewhere that this is the case as well.

From another thread:

"Yes, there is a torque chamber in-between the top and bottom pipe. Holding the header up in the air, it resembles an “H”. Hope this helps but let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with. Thank you.

Yea I believe the 7017 is a true duel and 7017 ho has the "h" pipe type chamber. I'm not 100 percent on that but either way mine has the torque chamber.
