Went by yesterday and the gates were locked, a Brother rider told me it's been closed the last 2 weekends, open during the week but closed the weekends. Anybody know what's up?
There was a fatality. A few weeks ago an AC cobra went off the road decapping driver and killing the passenger. I heard someone from the houses threw a bottle that caused the accident. Probably why they shut it down on the weekend?
Ha. I got in a bar fight at the OBI in '78. I had a loudmouth friend that started it. That was a fun bar, with lots of pretty girls.
People throwing things on the road should be staked down and run over a few times.
We stopped going long before it closed they did NOT like bikers. They had a dress code, one of the things listed was "Motorcycle Attire". Really!?!??! Then you went in and they only had imported beer to justify $5 a beer, and I am talking in the 90's. Yeh great spot on the pier, but the stick was was way too far up the Owner's ***. But there were a lot of pretty girls!!!!
This thread got me thinking about an Amphitheater we used to do gigs at when I was working in the music business. It was way out at the tip of Long Island but I cant remember the name of it.

They were honest enough to say it, but many bars didnt let bikers in, back in the day. When I was a doorman in Chicago (1979), we didnt let anyone in with a leather jacket, military ID, Bridgeport address, certain ethnic groups. It wasnt fair, but it was based on people who liked to start fights.

Damn, that might have been it...hope the SOB that threw the bottle spends a LONG time in prison. Probably won't happen in ultra-Liberal NY but one can hope. Thanks...
