You get the idea now.Every year Montgomery holds a General Montgomery Day for locals to hang out and have a few beers and see the sights.They were charging $20 a pop for autographs.
If you want real bikers,take time to visit East Side Custom Choppers on Rte.52,about 15 minutes from the OCC shop.They have a moto-mall and a Bar and Grill right across the street that has great food.They do more for the local biker community in a month than OCC does in a year,and they are the real deal.Great folks.
OCC has alot of flash with an asshat attitude.Mikey's the only decent one of the bunch.
If you watch the OCC show much you must remember Vinnie DiMartino.He quit OCC a while back and opened up V-Force Customs.They are located right up 17k from the OCC shop also.
Ultimate Cycles is in the area as well. Also run by a former OCC guy in Dee. He was on the 1st episode yellin at paul jr about puttin tins on bike without anybody else that worked on the bike. When i was there he had 3 brand new bikes from OCC that people brought in to have things done to.
It takes an hour and 15 min. to make it from the north end of the city. It's worth the trip. the 911 Firemans bike will put a tear in your eye. Get there early, and drop me a line and i'll take u out and show you some nice riding.. OCC is not the best reason to come to the area.. A ride to Woodstock is...
ive been to their retail store and the old steel shop\bike shop before they drove through it and moved to the brick building, but that was probably 4 years ago. it was for the grand opening of the retail store. i got everyones autograph except the one i really wanted, vinny.
Depends on where in NYC, but from the t-boro should be little more than hour - hour 1/2, again on the traffic/construction/accidents which abound in and around nyc and westchester. Showroom is just off the highway, gas station is on the corner. The ride is good and the shop is impressive from a distance. Bikes are great close up.
