i'm a sight to behold coming up to the toll booth.
i ride with my ez pass in my chest pocket when i wear my flannel and the inside pocket when i wear my vest.
i slow down, pull the pass out, and stick it in my mouth. ride first gear into the toll booth, pull pass out of mouth, hold it up while trying to ride with no clutch hand and not stall (this usually results in a PA officer having to come over and hand scan my pass, attention that i don't need with a non dot helmet, too tall bars and too loud pipes) then ride thru and try to stick my pass back in my pocket while getting into the flow of traffic.

at least my dad thinks it's funny.
wow, exactly same thing i do!
i really HATE tolls in NYC.
Orientation of the transponder affects the performance greatly. The antennas are mounted on top of the toll booth and read the transponder when approaching the booth. Having it mounted low can cause a malfunction. A tag transponder might solve some problems if that type is offered.

That was me (well, minus the bars), but then...I got a windshield..mounted it on there, and no issues. However, the ex used to have problems with his all the time (with the same set up). He called them up and they admitted having issues and sent him a new one. After that his worked fine.
The nightsters license plate bracket folds, i've heard of a few Nighster owners just kicking their bracket back before going thru and pulling it back out after. can't ticket what you can't see...........
Holding the ez pass doesnt always work. I got a ticket in the mail saying i drove thru where clearly u can see me holding it up in the pic.
I never could the get the EZ-Pass unit to work on my bike in NJ. I tried everything; in the bags, in my jacket, in my handlebar bag. They even overcharged me when it did not read, etc. I now have a little mesh bag, made for EZ Pass, that I got off of ebay. Here is a link to the company's product -- http://www.meshproducts.net/eztoll/. When I first got this I strapped it under my headlight and that did not work either. It is now strapped to the right of the Speedo on my handle bars. Works flawlessly every time for more then 2 years now.

i made something similiar to that mesh bag.
i took some stretchy "fishnet" material( similiar to fishnet stockings)
and sandwiched my ez pass between it and my fork bag that i have attached to my risers.
it was still hit or miss. at least i didnt have to dig into my pocket to get it out.
that was until i hit a bump just before the toll and it popped out.
