Default Riding Classes on LI?

Hey everyone, was wondering if anybody knows of any decent riding programs on LI. I just purchased my first bike and even though I got my license through the NYPD, I don't have any real riding experience and was looking t take some rider development classes. I looked on HD website but, there is nothing offered on LI through their programs and was wondering if anyone has any experience with other riding courses. Thanks. Will

you might want to look into http://www.tramas.com/.

I just took the advanced rider class and the instructors were great. Been riding over 30yrs and you never stop learning. They also have basic rider classes.

Also check out http://www.msf-usa.org/index_new.cfm...rCourse%20Info

There is another based in NY/LI, http://www.ridemss.com/ (it was years ago when I decided to finally get a LIC and be legal)

The MSF/Trama courses sound good, but the private lessons offered by MSS sounds a bit more my style.

I think any lessons and then practice is a good thing, try to get out of traffic (early morning), head down to the beach, throw a couple of cones down and do figure 8's till your dissy! I also remember riding up to the curbs and doing panic type stops to get a feel for the bike, if you hit a curb it will hurt a lot less then a buick.....

we need to get all us islanders together for a ride....maybe next saturday
