Took the bike into work this morning. It was a little wet (from the fog) but the ride home is going to be awesome. Probably going to take the long way home too!
Went out to New Hope today...turned north and found (not the hard way) that the first bridge on 32 is out for construction...that sucked
Not for nothing, but **** NEW HOPE RIGHT IN THE EAR! I won't go there anymore. Me and some buddies took a ride there in Feb, '09 (was a 60 degree Saturday). Lots of people out, lots of bikes, nice day. We ate lunch, and we're sitting in traffic, waiting to get the light to head back over the bridge. Just sitting there at idle, nobody blipping the throttle or anything. Here comes this cop walking up the street. Looks over at me, looks down at my pipes, and pulls a sound meter out of his back pocket. Motions to all of us to pull over. Sees one of my buddies w/ the same pipes on his bike, and has us park the bikes, fire them up, and let them idle. He then stands behind the bikes and takes sound readings. Seems we're ~2 db over the limit. I ask the cop what the deal is, and he says "Oh, we know those pipes don't pass sound." And here's your $85 ticket for your trouble! Won't EVER go back there. Bet the businesses love how the cops run off business.
And I hear you Rogue, was still 70 degrees when I rode home from Caldwell @ 8:00 last night. Can't wait for it to be like this all the time!!
