on saturday im thinking of taking a nice ride from my place in dingmanys ferru to bear mountain some people told me there is some nice roads there.does anyone have a route that they know of that i can take or know the roads by bear mountain.
form bear mountain i was thinking of going from there to greenwood lake then i know my way from there was going to go around the lake to upper greenwood lake then off to clinton road out to rt23 all the way up and into milford or something like that but the bear mountain thing is the problem.
I could go with you. I know it pretty well, nice ride on 293, perkins mem drive to the top, nice view, thru harriman and into greenwood lake. The roads in harriman are pretty crappy, recommend going slow. But then up 17a thru sterling forest and into greenwood lake or the other way which is closer to Clinton rd. Either way, I am up for it. I am in Warwick. PM me
I'd recommend coming down 6 through port jervis and pine island then to 17a to lake kanawaukee. then7 lakes to bear mountain. You'll miss the bad part of 7 lakes drive. I highly recommend the barnsider in fort Montgomery for lunch
