Corso Cycle (Boston Area)
Since it's about the one year since the day I was robbed of $5000.00 for custom work that was to be done on my bike I felt it was fair to update everyone. To date after roughly $1800.00 in legal fees and being lied to over and over I've received only $2050.00 from this person.
I filed charges against him months back and had a court date set for mid August but he agreed to pay me $1000.00 up front and $500.00 a month after that. I understand that sometimes hard times fall on people so i agreed and being the nice guy I am I said I would postpone the court date providing he made all planned payments. Worst thing I ever did because once I postponed the date, and he knew the new court date wasn't going to be until February of 2012....all payments stopped.
We even had a legal binding signed contract outlining his payment schedule and he still won't pay me. He says he's trying and just this week he said he would send me a check showing good faith. Lucky me....I received a check for $50 bucks.
Here's the best part. He sold his bike (that at one time was for sale for 35k) and I didn't see a penny. He went on vacation to Vegas to instead of making good on his debt. Does this sound like someone who is trying to do the right thing or someone who doesn't give a **** about anyone but himself? I'm thinking the second.
He did offer to do my bike for me but of course I would have had to send him more money and my bike. Do I look like an idiot? He further offered to barter offering me tools, parts and equipment. Not interested. What I am looking for is the $2,950.00 he still owes me and the $1800 spend on legal fees plus any additional fees I have to put out between now and the court date plus court and travel fees (since I will have had to travel from south Jersey to Boston 3 times by the time this is all over).
I wish this guy well and understand he's looking to open shop again but I wouldn't be comfortable not posting this knowing someone else could loose every penny they've saved for their dream of a custom bike. It took me a long time to put that 5k together and I know it won't be anytime soon where I will have it again but I do know I will be doing my homework the next time and find a reputable guy to do my work.
Be warned of any shop that may have this name associated with it. Be careful in the Boston area.
