Default Service Recommendations

Looking for a recommendation for service in my area. I just bought my first Harley a 2003 Anniversary RKC picked it up in North Carolina and rode it back to New Jersey. On my ride back I experienced a very concerning scenario. I was cruising back at different speeds anywhere from 65mph to 80 mph. I wanted to see how the bike cruised at those speeds and was very happy with the results. Then about 1/2 way through my trip back I was slowing down to stop at a rest stop and noticed as I let off the throttle a grinding noise or that is what I describe it as. I was traveling at around 75 mph at the time. It happened twice and then never again for the remainder of the trip. There were no problems with shifting, acceleration before or after this event. So I kind of wrote it off.

I wanted to take the bike somewhere to have them give it the once over and was wondering if anyone could make a recommendation for Southern New Jersey area. I live in the Mullica Hill area of Gloucester county 856 area code.

Also has anyone experienced anything like this. I have road just sport bikes before this and of course they are a different animal. I have never heard of or experienced anything like this on any of my sport bikes.

Anyway looking forward to your responses.

My only suggestion would be Famous Mike's. I haven't had anything done there but my nephew bought a bike and had no complaints. http://www.mikesfamous.com/

The best dealer bar none is Barbs Harley Davidson Camden County New Jersey 856 456-4141 call Mike ithe service manager and tell him Bill from New York recommended you . I live in Staten Island New York almost 80 miles from Barb's and I travel there for all my servicing. I just bought my second bike from them I love these guys, and Tom in parts he's the guru. I pass five Harley dealers getting there key word here is pass!!!! There is even a dealer 15 minutes from my house. Barb's is the only place to go, you even get to talk to the owner herself "BARB". She rides, is a super cool lady, a class act, and she treats all her customers like family even me on ocassion. The coffee is always free and hot. On Saturdays in November she treats the customers to lunch. How can you beat that ???? ride in early Saturday morning, while you wait get your bike serviced, grab a cup of coffee, if you're real hungry walk across the street to IHOP eat breakfast, come back pick up the bike, eat lunch with everyone before ya leave, ride off into the sunset !! Life is Good my brother , Ride Safe Bill
