I was only there for 3 days this year and felt like my liver was gonna give out on the ride home.

Needless to say, I'll be back again next year.................

Thanks for the heads up Mac, got tickets last week.

Do you all camp or find a motel? The ol' lady is not much of a happy-camper, wonderin' since we cant get there til Friday nightif there will evenbe any places left to pitch a tent?
Tried the links apple mtn gives for places to stay are already booked this far in advance.

Any other lodging ideas appreciated.

I camped, but that's the way I prefer it. I also left my OL at home which is also the way I prefer it.

Serioulsy though, I didn't get there till Friday afternoon this year and had no problem finding a spot up on the back hill. From what I hear they are supposed to be clearing even more land for next years gig.

I really didn't notice alot of motels real close by and to be honest with you, thebest part is stayingon the main grounds the whole weekend. If you have or could rent one, they have spots for campers and RV's but those get taken up pretty quick and there aren't any water/electric hookups. I guess you could say it's pretty primitive, just the way I like it to be........
