from hope mills nc, on the 15th of jun and stayingin hagerstown MD overnight. I wanna break up the trip to see some scenery. I'm headed up I95, then gonna snake west past richmond to I81 then on up.
Anyone around that area, or going up that way?? If ya see a suede blue/black road king settle in a bit behind ya, that may be me. Hope ya don't mind.
as I recall, I remember hitting road work when we went up to ft drum to welcome home our son from iraq. But I thought it HAS to be better than I95 around NYC and all the other crap.
Have you considered I 81 -> I 80 -> 209 (Delaware Water Gap) -> 84 -> Taconic Parkway (or I-87) -> I 90 -> I 91?
I don't know about road repair on I 80 and it's truck busy but you're not on it for too long. 209 is closed to commercial traffic. It's a good break from the Interstates and is 40 miles or so. Speed limit is 45 but I've cruised it between 50 and 55 with no problems with LEOs.
J in I, sure will. I'll keep an eye out. I (we) actually won't be there until thurs eve. I head to framingham ma first to hook up with some buds then we head out to one of their houses on the lake.
did they ever iron out a locaonia meet and greet?? I'll check the thread
woodchuck, I'll check that out on the map, thanks.
I will be there during the week. I'm staying at a camp over on Ossippee in Freedom NH for the week-days.
You prolly won't see me unless you're out riding the roads. Although we'll stop over to the Weirs in the evening sometime and buy the requistie T-shirts.
