Default Ct Dealers - MSRP?

I've been at a couple dealers (Yankee in Bristol Ct and Gengras) and it's my understanding that most of the dealers in CT charge over MSRP, with the exception of TSI and Bridgeport. Yankee and Gengras are not MSRP.

Heard that the dealer in Springfield MA sells at MSRP also.

Is that correct?

Do new bikes purchased in MA have to go through CT inspection for registration? Wondering because when I order I plan to have slip-ons installed and curious if they'd pass inspection.

Really getting the itch and plan to make my purchase in the next month or so. Looking to buy a Superglide Custom in either white or black,

Thanks,
Sammi

Sammi,

You may want to check out Brother's Harley Davidson in Branford. All the bikes are sold at MSRP. I just picked up a 2006 Fatboy. They also discount first and second service, this can be a huge savings. You can ask for "John" at Brother's. I looked at Gengras and Bridgeport, but Brother's was the best deal . . . Good luck and ride safe!

Bought one from Brothers last year for MSRP and they were excellent to deal with. Ocean State in Exeter or Warwick Rhode Island sells for MSRP.

Sammi,by all means RUN from Yankee. They`re 10 minutes up the road from us,but the prices are just plain crazy.
We ended up buying our bike from E.Hampton HD in Southampton MA.They are on RT 10.We`re in Plainville, and its about an hour ride.I`ll give a list of prices from a few dealers here, when we where shopping for our `05 Standard Softail
Gengras:$15,900,carbed,plus tax and reg.
TSI:$16,100,injected,out the door.
Bridgeport:$16,300,injected,out the door.
Yankee:$16,800,injected,plus tax and reg.
E.Hampton:$14,800,injected,plus tax and reg.
You can see why we bought from E.Hampton.Very nice folks also.No inspection needed.Just had to go to DMV myself to register it.Cost around $900 for reg and tax.So they still where the lowest. It depends where you live. They are alot closer to me than the southwest part of the state. Also, stay the hell away from Mikes Famous in Groton,or somewheres about. They`re worse than Yankee.
Yankee is feeling it though;they`re down to 1 salesman,2 parts guys, and 1 girl in the clothes department. The owner doesnt know why.Good luck,Mark.

Sammi, I got my bike from Bridgeport HD. Paid MSRP, nice people, and really not your typical stealer. I also live in NY, and they gave me the best deal.

I bought mine from Bridgeport HD, they gave me the best price. MSRP, plus a lot of extras when I bought it. They are way out of my way for service though, so I bring it to gengras, very good service department.
