Default Gettysburg

Going to the fallen Firefighters memorial in Emmitsburg Md, Oct 4. Since it's just south of Gettyburg we thought we'd maybe stay over and check the place out on Sunday.

Anyone know if we can get much out of it in a day.

Also we'll be heading back to NJ via 30. Anything worth seeing along the way. We'll be passing through York and the Amish Country.

Thanks

Riding in the battlefield is always worth the trip, and if your catching rt 30 it is on your way.
Be careful if parking in town, earlier this year there were four of us to a space- meter expired= 4 parking tickets.

The FF mem is a great place, when we visit we stop at the Ott house for lunch. The whole bar top and bar wall is made up of FF patches from around the country , the food is good and the beer is cold.
Just remember, MD is a helmet state.

Safe Riding

thanks for the tips. We're also doing the red helmet ride from I think, Millersville MD to Emmitsburg. Ott house sounds like great place.
