Gettysburg Hershey Area
I'm doing Rolling Thunder in May and plan on spending a couple of days riding in the Gettysburg / Hershey area. Plan on visiting the plant in York (3 rd visit). Any locals that can suggest scenic routes in the area. I was there a few years ago and lucked up on a few good rooutes, but couln't duplicate them now. All suggestions are welcome. If you are ever in upstate SC or Western NC I can help you out with that area.

I ride in the Gettysburg area quite a bit. I moved to northwestern Carroll County, Maryland almost a year ago and I pretty much just ride without any predetermined route (always have a compass though). I do like alt 15 through the battlefield and 30 is an interesting ride, a lot more to see than just trees. Battlefield H-D in Gettysburg is a neat place with usually a lot of activity on weekends. Then if you dip into northern Maryland you have some real nice riding through the Catoctin Mtns in Frederick County as well as some nice rides in Washington County.
