Jake more than happy to meet up !
Love riding out your way I use to even dirt bike over there since the 1980 up to 1998.
Here is a quick idea for a ride when you get back.
Rt.12 out of Winchie all the way to Keene then up Rt.10 to either Marlow and come back
via Rt.123 to Kimball's. For a longer ride we could ride up Rt.10 to Rt.31 and follow
that back to Rt.202 and head back South to Kimball's.
I'll get some mileage data on both loops and then we can decide .....
Be safe over there and see you soon !

Maybe it's because it hasn't got over 80 there this summer.
Everybody must have the blues or something.
(Sounds like good riding weather, when it ain't raining)

Guessing sometime after the 15th of August for this ride.
But do not have to wait that long for others to meet.

Gooch ....
I do not ride West of Rt.3 hardly at all EVER .......
Even went to Hampton Beach on Friday and we took Rt.101 over and
only took Rt.111 back because we had to stop at a pet feed store in
Plaistow otherwise we would have came back Rt.101.

Why you ask ?
Well because over this way I can ride to the VT boarder and only hit
3 lights and the 1st one is 5 miles from my house the next is 20 miles
and the last one is near the NH/VT boarder.
I can go to Keene,NH and back (almost 90 miles) and only hit 2 lights
and one being the one 5 miles away.
Soooooo .....
What I am trying to say is that we like to ride without the traffic.
Most of the riding we do there are HARDLY any other vehicles on the
roads. Like try riding North of Milford,NH and over in New Boston or
towards Bennington,NH or Rt.123 West clear across NH.
Hardly nobody on these roads. We are not into the bar hopping rides
and most times I get yelled at for not stopping at all when we ride .... LOL ....
Like going to Lake Sunapee ...... 4 lights there and 2 lights back !
Trip .... 150 miles ..... Nice senic State Route roads !
Rob .......

Next time you do the loop that brings you up by the Wachusett Dam in Clinton, stop and take a walk into the old railroad tunnel. It is almost 1/2 mile long. Bring a flashlight. It is about 500' before you get to the dam on Rte 70 on the opposite side of road from dam. (If you are traveling south on 70... or going up hill towards the dam, it is on your left). You can actually see the large granite stone bridge abutment where the 130' trestle that used to span the river attached to. If you look up at it, you can see the top of the tunnel opening through the trees from Rte 70. There is a small pullover place right beside it. You gotta take a walk up and into it if you're that close! Not too many are aware it is there.

I know a lot of people here seem to ride the western part of the state and I do understand the lack of traffic and what not out there, but I have a problem with crossing over into MA as I ride with out a helmet 100% of the time. For that matter I don't have one that even fits my head properly. I have an old XXXL fullface that someone gave me that is not very comfortable and haven't had any luck finding something that fits my large skull well. I like to get out on Saturday or Sunday with a couple people, usually more likely Sunday as I work at a bar on Saturday night. I am from the Manchester area and would be willing to hook up with someone new for some riding.
