My friend and I want to take a little road trip up to New Hampshire in late June this year. I was looking for ideas on what to do while we're up there. The main reason for the trip is to ride and enjoy the sights, but what else is there to do while up there?

The blessing of the bikes is around then, the 28th or something. Anyone been to this and how was it?

We would entertain the idea of Vermont or Maine also, anything worth seeing/doing up there?

Thanks,
Ed

ED, anything north of Concord is a must to ride. North of Conway is even better, lakes region, white mountains. its the best riding anywhere. do the notches. the blessing of the bikes is in Colebrook. Nice ride and right at the start ar end of Dixville Notch. Have a great time

When in NH it really doesn't matter which direction you head in, East there is the seacoast, West there are some of he best twisty roads, You can even stop in and meet the world famous Dawg. North there is the lake region, mountains, and more twistys. A climb up Mt. Washington, or ride Kancamagus Highway, Passaconway Road, Hurricane Mt. Road to Route 113 into Maine. If you go to the blessing in Colebrook go across Rt. 26 thru Dixville Notch to Errol down Rt. 16 thru 13 mile woods.

Thank you both for the advise. I can't wait to get out on the bike in New Hampshire, it is truely beautiful up there. The weather down here in CT sucks, its about 18 degrees out and windy as hell. I've been putting off working on the car all morning, but I think its time now....can't wait to come in with frozen, cracked, bloody hands...WINTER SUCKS!

Ed -

I live in NH and I can tell you first hand it is a great place to ride. have taken the bike many places, but I always prefer to ride here in NH. I agree that North of Concord is some of the best riding, but keep in mind you can drive right up the coast as well and it is a a very nice ride.

NH offers many paths and types of riding. Everything from mountain climbing, to twisties, out in the open country and the seacoast. If you add Bike week to this it makes it even better.

My only advice is to try to come up a few days before bike week. This way you can get some riding in and get out of Laconia...lol A lot of people come up for bike week to ride and never get out of Laconia and you will miss a lot.

Ride safe and have fun!
