Default Nj state hog rally

Well, I went to it yesterday. Only did one day, no overnight. I only live an hour away from Seaside Heights. It was a perfect day to ride, perfect blue sky, perfect light breeze, perfect temperature. Unfortunately, It was not as impressed with the event. It seemed to be very small. It didn't have the 'personality' of other rally's that I've been to. I know this is NJ, a tiny little state but geez, I really expected something 'bigger'. There were no real vendors other than one guy installing LED lighting and another guy doing pin stripping. Of course you could buy the usual do-rags, chaps, cheap jewelry but there were no real vendors selling bike stuff. The whole thing had the feel of a craft fair, a few blocks away there was a BBQ Cookoff being held that seemed to have a better spirit than the HOG rally did.

Normally, the beach towns stopping requiring people to feed the meters after September 15th. The town of Seaside Heights had put stickers on all the meters notifying drivers that meters had to be fed until October 15th. I guess they need a few more quarters. lol At least they allowed us to put more than one bike in a spot.

Gotta say that I'm disappointed in the event. Both myself and my buddy agree, we'll probably not attend next year.

Oh yeah, we did buy raffle tickets for a Harley and a trailer.

I've never really considered any state's HOG rally to be like an actual rally. Pretty mellow and cheesy, but that's just my opinion.

3 of us went also about an hour ride... while i agree the event wasn't that big
the atmosphere was great and a few people i chatted up about their rides were nice too worst thing we found was the dunkin donuts closed on the boardwalk as we couldn't get a decent cup o joe anywhere...

all in all though it was a perfect day for a ride which after all is the most important thing. isnt it?.
