I ride to Bear Mountain/Harriman State Parks on a regular basis, at least5 times a year, sometimes more. It's a great area to ride. I like to start in the parks and then ride south into Sussex/Passiac Counties in northern NJ. Then I usually ride back through the parks again on the way back to NY. I love the approach to the Bear Mountain Bridge, that twisting mountain road along the cliff is a lot of fun!
Welcome to you new guys, hope to ride with some of you during the season.
Ha! How about that? I got caught up with some family stuff on Sunday... bummer, it was a nice day too. But I'm off today, so I'm going to head up to Frenchtown, and come back down through 537 and take 539 down South, etc...
Any recommendations for a lunch spot near Frenchtown?
There's a cafe/restaurant right in Frenchtown...on the river...right before the bridge on the left side. We eat there every time we head out that way. You can get a good lunch, or just stop for coffee and a quick bite.
