+1
Not sure if that is coming from HD corporate or not though.
But quite a few dealers have found out the Formula+ has been working better in the primary.
So, they are using Syn3 in engine and transmission only, and Formula+ in primary.
The 2008 Touring Models Service Manual call for FORMULA+ TRANSMISSION AND PRIMARY CHAIN LUBRICATION (Part No. 99851-08) in both the primary and transmission. I've use is in my 2008 Road King for 96k.
Had an ear ache, real bad one. went to the doc and got a flush, the nurse said "oh my God,what is this coming out of your ear", I looked over in the pan and told her it was just motor oil, relax. Seems all the Rods and Mains I was doing caught up with me.
Did I read here that HD recenlty said they do not recommend Syn3 in all 3 holes? If so, can someone point me in the direction of the thread?
Sorry in advance...
Check your bike's Owner's Manual for lubricant recommendations. If you can't find what you're looking for there, call your local dealer's service department and ask what lube's they would put in your bike.
