No, the silver cap is apparantly a differant formulation than the "old" red cap. Some of the porsche racing boards have reported problems with this new oil.
There's also some talk that the new formulations of M1 are not the expensive PAO's like they used to be. Still a good oil, but overpriced for what you're getting.
I still have some red cap in my basement. When I use it up, I'll be switching to something else.
