Was just at wally world, saw mobile1 by the qt, 15-50 it was with a silver cap, is this the same as what was the red top, they have been out for a long time, does anyone use this, i have used it before going to the v twin mobil 1.

 

Several here use that stuff with good results....Mobile1 is a pretty good oil.

However, I am not currently using it on my rides.

 

That`s what i use and have no problems, was using the extended milage but bought the new 15-50 because it`s cheaper and change every 4,000 miles.

 

No, the silver cap is apparantly a differant formulation than the "old" red cap. Some of the porsche racing boards have reported problems with this new oil.

There's also some talk that the new formulations of M1 are not the expensive PAO's like they used to be. Still a good oil, but overpriced for what you're getting.

I still have some red cap in my basement. When I use it up, I'll be switching to something else.

 

This color cap thing with Mobil one is getting aggravating, is the extended service supposed to have the good ingredients in it yet?

 

What do you guys pay for mobil 1, thinking of switching at next change?

 

23.97 at WallMart is what i paid for the five quart silver cap.

The silver capoil bottle says, API SM,SL,CF on it what ever that adds up too.
