Default New Harley running way too hot

Hello guys,

First time posting here as I've recently encountered my first problem/question. I have a 2014 Forty-eight with just over 2k miles on it. Today riding my leg got way too hot in traffic so I checked the engine temp using my Powervision tuner. It climbed to over 400 degrees! I quickly parked it and checked oil levels which are fine as it was cooling off. It dropped to around 280 when I then started it and watched the temp gradually climb to 354 degrees in the shade with 75 degree air temp. What is going on?!

See attached photos:
I'm using AmsOil as its said to be the best with heat reduction.
I also have these small short pipes that are heat wrapped. Could these pipes be heating up the cylinder that much? The bike has to be running way too lean or oil does not seem to be circulating. I'm lost and want to get this solved quickly. Any input is appreciated.

The first thing I would do is get rid of those pipes and get a proper tune - You will never get it tuned well with those short dumps. It's probably way too lean - there may be other tuning issues. Put the stock exhaust back on with some slip ons, or get a good 2-1 pipe.
You will get more responses if you put this in the engine mechanical forum - maybe the forum mods can move it for you - Eastcoast Jim

As Jim suggests, put a decent system on it and get it tuned properly. Unfortunately there are too many owners change stuff without realising the consequences. It is quite likely your bike still has a stock tune. Don't change anything else until you sort that out.
