Just curious to know if any of you run dino oil in the new 96ci engines? Getting the 1k service done sat and not sure what to run. Dino or Syn3. Don't like the syn3 but will dino hold up in these engines?
Lost1. I have the same bike as you. I noticed you are running the V&H fuel pack. I an considering a fuel pack, rush 1.75 mufflers and air cleaner. How much did your setup improve performance and milage?
Kenny,
The performance gain was minimal, IMO. Not enough for me to feel anyway. Got a riding friend with a similar setup- '07 RK with 2" Rush, K&N A/C, and PCIII, and he says the same. Not enough of a performance gain to mention.
This didn't surprise me as the stock intake and exhaust is pretty efficient on the '07 baggers. I only put it all on to richen up the mixture and help cool her down.
Near as I can tell I picked up about 1.5 mpg in town, and it helped cool the engine down a bit. Coupled with the oil cooler and a good synthetic oil (Redline in my case) the difference in felt temperatures in stop & go traffic is considerable. For this reason alone the mods are worth the money.
