Oil temp monitoring cheap
In case anyone is interested I ordered an ODB2 reader
and the 6 pin plug
for my 22 EGS to use with Torque Pro on my Android phone to monitor my oil temp.
After a couple days use I can say they are working great, but I had to pull the cable out with the battery tender cable so I could remove the odb adapter when not it use. It doesn't like to reconnect if I leave it plugged in. I would have preferred to stick it somewhere and forget it, but for $45 I can deal with it this way. I'm still playing with it to see what other data it will show, but the oil temp was my primary concern.

Torque Pro shows it being the Engine Oil Temp. Not sure what sensor it's pulling the data from. I'll add a screenshot in a little while.
