I hope that everybody realizes that if you use anything but H-D oil in your new bike and something goes wrong with it for whatever reason the warranty is void. That other S!@#T doesnt work it's ok to use the Harley SYN3 but anything older than 2000 dont use Synthetic in the primary the clutch doesnt always agree with it and most times you end up buying a new clutch.

just to stir the pot and not gang up on tech72, I used harleys syn 3 in my '93 ultra. engine ,trans and primary. never had any issues with it. except in the engine it seemed noisier which may have been normal. also on any trips in the heat I would have to top off the engine oil. but other then that it shifted like butter . I switched to syn 3 at 50k mikes and when I sold it it had 79k on it.
