Any synthetic is better than no synthetic, do a search on this site and you will find a lot of info. Good and bad, use your judgment, BTW Harley motors are not high revving motors.
The exception here is the syn 3.
Is there proof that there is a problem or other issues with Syn 3? The dealer put it in all 3 holes of my new Road King last month on delivery. Should I get this stuff out of my bike?

Syn oil will withstand higher temps. However dont most people change Motor oil every 2500 miles. It seems to me that if you were to change at every 2500 that the oil probablyhas not broken down much if any? If you run syn how often do you change out Motor oil? Thanks

There are many many topics on this. But if I remember someone said thatthe syn3wasn't meant for the trans?although you can use it in there. But most here might not recommend it.

well, you're gonna get alot of folk saying "i use this...or for a few extra bucks, i buy the best for my scoot" even though that wasn't the question you were asking. it seems to me that if you change your oil frequently enough, castrol should be ok. i've never used it, but it's a quality product.

I've used plenty of Castroil (non-synthetic/ non-synthetic blend) 20-50w in my bike before changing over to synthetic.

I've always used Castroil in all my cars. Up until this truck Dodge CTD, I've used Shell Rotella then switched over to Amsoil.

Presently run RedLine in all three holes in RK.

Nothing wrong with using any oil that meets MFR spec's.

However you will find some added cooling capability and quite shifting with somefull (non-petrolium based)synthetics.
