Any synthetic is better than no synthetic, do a search on this site and you will find a lot of info. Good and bad, use your judgment, BTW Harley motors are not high revving motors.
The exception here is the syn 3.
Is there proof that there is a problem or other issues with Syn 3? The dealer put it in all 3 holes of my new Road King last month on delivery. Should I get this stuff out of my bike?
Syn oil will withstand higher temps. However dont most people change Motor oil every 2500 miles. It seems to me that if you were to change at every 2500 that the oil probablyhas not broken down much if any? If you run syn how often do you change out Motor oil? Thanks
There are many many topics on this. But if I remember someone said thatthe syn3wasn't meant for the trans?although you can use it in there. But most here might not recommend it.

Can't speak for everyone - I have been running AMSOIL in all my Putts for years - Change Engine Oil & Filter every 5K - Trans & Primary every 10K and have NEVER had a problem yet???
well, you're gonna get alot of folk saying "i use this...or for a few extra bucks, i buy the best for my scoot" even though that wasn't the question you were asking. it seems to me that if you change your oil frequently enough, castrol should be ok. i've never used it, but it's a quality product.
Amsoil all the way.45000 miles on mt FLHT and never a problem.I also run Amsoil 75w-90 in my trans, and you would'nt belive the differance. My primary I use Rev-Tech only because I change it every other oil change
