STP Oil Filter?

Anybody know anything about STP SMO 22. Oil filter for HD 1450cc FLHR blah, blah, blah? The chrome version is SMO 22C. I don't know why I thought of Skip when I saw the black filter. Anyway 4.95 @ Awfull Zone.

It probably is a decent filter but I only use the harley brand. Why take a chance that it's the same internally.

STP filters are, or were, made by Champion (not the spark plug people). They are generally above average in construction, filtration, and flow, with good anti-drainback valves.

Thanks Skip. From what I could see inside it looked the same. Somebody makes the HD filter too so what does it hurt to look elsewhere? Did I mention it came in black?

Black, huh? LOL, I gotta blue one on mine right now. I'd have a chartreuse one with pink stripes before I'd run a chrome one....[8D]
