jump ahead to present and 200k miles! did i flush??? well NOPE and she still runs at 133mph @ 7.5k redline. i just hope my evo sport will be as good. BTW, i show no mercy to them. the sport tops the clock out when dropping into forth, whoohoo sportgear and int'l gearing, + a few extra mods.
BTW: the oil filter was added at 175k miles when i added electric foot.

[QUOTE=Dan89FLSTC;20288870]Just change the oil every 500 miles/QUOTE]

You’d be paying a fortune in oil every 500 miles! Add a zero on to that and it might make sense Lol.

Probably just a tiny amount, but if I do the scavenging approach already, I might as well pull all the way through.
Best, niv
How much is in that hose? Maybe a shot glass or two? Not enough to make a difference. Only way to to avoid leaving that is to pull the line off the tank but then you'd be pushing dirty oil from the case and contaminating a new filter!

Pull dip stick, pull oil plug , disconnect all oil lines remove filter. Turn bike upside down leave over night shake for 5 minutes . Put upright finish oil change.
This chit will never go way it is a waste of time and money but if it helps up sleep go for it
Some are just no happy until the take a simple service and turn it into a pain in the ***.
26 years old every oil change warm up pull plug from hose pull dip stick remove filter. Replace filter install plug tuck hose back in fill with oil ride.

33 Years, warm up, drain oil, replace filter. Keep it simple.

I am willing to bet you did not have it broken in on a dyno either.

Nope, no dyno break in, and I have never cared what brand 20w50 oil gets dumped into it.
